When we think about taking lifestyle photos, we consider either outdoor shots or our home.
Then one of the concerns arises: how to prepare your home for a photo session?
Many homeowners imagine they need to spend a week cleaning every corner of the house, or better yet, wait until after renovations are complete.
No, no, no.
It's not that complicated.
You just need to take care of a few simple things, and there's no point worrying about the rest.
Your home is your living space, your memories, and your children's safety zone.
It's not a museum or an exhibition where everything needs to look like it came from a furniture store catalog.
What's worth doing before the session?
- Remove liquids, washing powders, and other distracting items from visible places
- Organize the number of cables and chargers, ideally removing such items from outlets during the session
- Home sessions often take place on the bed in the bedroom - it's worth preparing light, uniform bedding
- Toys are a nice element in photos, but only when there aren't excessively many of them
- If your home is quite dark, open all curtains and drapes
