Why I Chose Family Photography?

I know that often the beginning of an adventure with family photography is the period of pregnancy and the first months of a little one, when a young mother discovers a passion for photography and develops this skill.

That's a great path!

Especially since you can practice daily on your own children ;)

Actually, for as long as I can remember, photos have been a very important element of preserving shared memories.

However, even though I don't have children, I'm also most drawn to family and children's photography, because children have always been with me.

I'm a quadruple aunt on my sisters' side and a double aunt on my husband's side, meaning our sisters have children :D I became an aunt for the first time when I was 11 years old!

When my sister lived abroad, I remember how eagerly we would stare at the mailbox, waiting for a new batch of photos to see how my little niece had grown.

To this day, I look at those photos, I still have them in my mailbox and I don't intend to delete them.

Of course, I printed some of them as physical prints.

But there are so many that some have to stay in the email ;)

I saw that photos are the only way to preserve memories, or even show reality from a distance.

That was about 14 years ago, when Facebook, Instagram, or even video calls weren't as common as they are now.

Photos gave that taste of being together, experiencing the next stages of children's development.

Now I live abroad, and photos still play an incredibly important role in maintaining contact with family.

Thanks to them, we are "up to date."

Often in the self-presentations of photographers who are mothers, I read about the advantages of knowing what it's like to be a mother, and how this allows them to capture it well in photos.

And that's certainly true.

Although I'm not a mother, I feel that I understand the atmosphere of family photos well, and I really enjoy working with children.

Actually, I think that in every area of life, we gain different advantages as participants in a given matter, and different ones as its observers.

And I think these aren't worse or better insights, they're just different. :)

Photographing families and their pets brings me enormous joy

When talking about family photography, I think of all close relationships and bonds that can be shown in photographs.

Sometimes it will be parents with two children, sometimes a mother with her daughter, sometimes a couple in love looking into each other's eyes, and other times a 10-person family :D

Just let me capture your relationships - smiles, emotions, hugs, glances...
